Went for girlfriend’s birthday and the atmosphere and food was great. We got a nice table and food was served on hot plates. Would recommend for people wanting to try out some great French dishes.
Excellent French restaurant with a cosy seating arrangement inside and staff who are more than happy to help you make great choices.
The duck confit was excellent. As was the snail and cod. The roasted beet salad was excellent.
Desserts were a treat in themselves - with the sorbet, the mousse and tarte tatin all being good but the l’ile flotante - was a little floating island of sheer joy and simplicity!
The wines suggested by our server paired exceptionally well with our meal.
The duck breast was OK and same with the chicken liver pate - not bad - but the others were all stand out good.
One last word - any restaurant that serves olive bread like the ones these guys do - cannot get anything but a 5 star rating!!!
I really wanted to like this place but it left a lot to be desired. Starting with the good, the atmosphere and the service were great. It’s a cute little restaurant with a lot of character. However, the food was just OK which is such a bummer because they have a lot of potential. The bread felt like it came from the grocery store and the butter was tasteless. The foie gras was served with potato bread as toast :/ and the duck confit was pretty dry. Overall it was fine but nothing spectacular, and I expected better from a nice French restaurant. Maybe better next time.
Disappointed. Food was average at best, both in quality and presentation. Servers didn't seem to understand our orders. Had to ask for bread. Atmosphere was the nicer part of the evening. The fire alarm system was beeping and staff ignored it. When asked about it, they said it was out of order.
Food wasn't horrible but wouldn't go back again. The place have a weird musky smell, reminds me of an old mop. The duck confit was just dry and overcooked and burnt on the sides. The escargot was very bland. The creme brulee custard was granulated.
This is a good restaurant, with good food, and a nice ambience that is reasonably priced. We went there for lunch on Christmas Day and were grateful to find a good place open.
It was just ok. Apart from the tacky French flags about the place it doesn't convey a French restaurant. Greeted by a shattered glass window and a "face mask required" sign at the entry, there is no ambiance. The food was ok. Two or three different menus. The beef bourguignon was mealy. The potato gratin was strange. The field greens salad was amazing and the duck was done perfectly. They need to invest some attention to detail.
This is my first time my wife and I tried French food. We started with the pate and risotto, and they were delicious. The risotto was creamy but not too heavy so you can actually finish the whole plate. Our 1yr old also loved the dish. The chicken liver pate came was less salty compared to the duck liver pate that I have tried. I finished it but I wished they gave me more bread. For the main course, we ordered the braised beef and duck confit. The duck confit is a must try! The skin was so crispy and the meat was so tender. 🤤
The restaurant has plenty of meter parking and outside seating. The staff is extremely friendly. We will be back!
